The Annual Scholastic Book Fair! The Scholastic Book Fair is becoming one of our greatest traditions here at Transfiguration
School. In addition to being a fantastic reading event, a percentage of Book Fair proceeds
go right back to Transfiguration School, to help achieve our annual fundraising goals. It
is one of the easiest ways to raise funds for the school. And, gift wrapping is available which the 8th Graders do as a Community
Service project.
Explore a large selection of books There is something for everyone: classics that every child
would enjoy; award-winning fiction; picture, easy reader, and chapter books; bestsellers and popular series favorites, such
as Harry
Potter, and I Spy; special value books—some as low as 99 cents; school supplies, student reference notebooks, and fun activities;
adult favorites, including fiction and nonfiction bestsellers; educational software and activities; posters, bookmarks, cards
games, plush characters; and more!
What do you sell at the Book
Fair?
At the Book Fair, we not only sell children's books but cookbooks, sport books, computer games, posters, etc. It is a great opportunity to do Christmas shopping for those on your Christmas List. Do the classes go to the Book Fair during school hours? A schedule is made for each class to view the Book Fair and a Wish List can be sent home so you know which items your child was interested in. How do I pay for my purchases? You can send money (preferably a check so cash will not get lost) in with your child so they can purchase their items. And, you can also pay by credit card on Saturday, Dec. 11th. Can anyone go to the Book Fair? Invite your friends and family to come with you on Saturday, Dec. 11th. How can I help? Consider volunteering. It is a great opportunity to get to know the Transfiguration community better. If you cannot make a particular time slot but can come at another time, we would love to have you participate in any way you can. Can I get items gift-wrapped? The 8th grade will be providing a gift wrapping service on Saturday, Dec. 11th as a community service project. |
